Cat litter boxes are indispensable for our feline friends and their daily hygiene. There are different types, from silicon ones to vegetable ones, not forgetting the classic betonite minerals. The grain of the litter has several variations: it can be fine or coarse. The former is characterized by a soft substrate that allows felines to dig as if it were sand. Coarse-grained litter, on the other hand, implies more difficulty for cats to make holes. Whether open or closed, the litter should be at least 2 inches high and the sand should always be clean, changing it completely at least once a week. Cat litter boxes: silicon, clay, bentonite or biodegradable

Cat litter can be made of a variety of materials: of these the most popular are in those made of silica crystals, clay or bentonite. Litter made of silica crystals have great capacity to absorb liquids and odors, but they have a higher cost and are difficult to dispose of. Bentonite bedding is agglomerating in that this material absorbs liquids and encloses them in its pores. Clay bedding is a good environmentally friendly and totally biodegradable alternative.
