Duck is considered an ideal protein source because of its amino acid profile, and it is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), which are capable of containing blood cholesterol levels.

Duck is also an excellent source of niacin(vitamin B3), a molecule that plays an important role in metabolic processes and also contributes to reducing blood cholesterol. Duck then contains vitamins A and C as well as several important minerals such as iron, calcium, and selenium.

Pheasant has been shown to be an excellent source of vitamin B12, phosphorus and selenium.

The combination of duck and pheasant makes for a nutritionally balanced food that is rich in all the essential amino acids for the adult dog.
