Farmina Vet Life Oxalate is a complete dietary food intended for adult dogs to reduce urate, oxalate and cystine stones.

It is also indicated in individuals with advanced kidney disease.

MECHANISM OF ACTION OF FARMINA VET LIFE OXALATE FOR DOGS

Farmina Vet Life Oxalate contains low concentrations of calcium, vitamin D3, to reduce oxalate-based urate formation. Low concentrations of protein and sulfur amino acids reduce cystine- and urate-based crystal formation.

The alkaline urinary pH made such by the action of potassium citrate raises the saturation point of crystals. Low concentrations of copper prevent the toxic action of that element, which tends to accumulate in the liver.

Rice, oats, animal fat, dehydrated whole eggs, flaxseed, hydrolyzed animal protein, dried beet pulp, fish oil, calcium carbonate, vegetable oil, sodium chloride. Protein sources: dehydrated whole eggs. Urine alkalizing additives: potassium citrate (9g/kg). Total vitamin D 650IU.

TREATMENT MODALITIES WITH FARMINA VET LIFE OXALATE FOR DOGS.

Before use, and before extending the period of use, it is recommended to seek the advice of the veterinary doctor. Recommended period of use: for reduction of urate-based stone formation for up to 6 months, but for life in cases of irreversible disorders of uric acid metabolism; for reduction of oxalate-based stone formation for up to 6 months; for reduction of cystine-based stones initially for up to 1 year; for chronic renal failure for life (2-4 weeks in cases of temporary renal failure).
