PetZolla is the right product for the needs of Pet Owners who have:

How to get your dog used to using PetZolla.

PetZolla is not a substitute for walking !

STEP 1

Open the box and, if desired, serve the lid as an additional waterproofing by placing it under the box.

STEP 2

Always put PetZolla in the same spot in the house (balcony, laundry room, kitchen, bathroom etc.). Avoid moving it all the time so that your pet will recognize the place whenever he needs it. You can also place PetZolla near the door used for when you walk your puppy. It is best to place PetZolla on a tiled or otherwise wet-resistant floor. Do not place PetZolla in direct sunlight; try to use a bright spot with indirect natural light. Remember to clean up solid waste immediately as when you are on a walk. NEVER pour water on PetZolla / Do not water it. If PetZolla appears very dry, lightly spray a little water on it and wait for the grass to regain color.

TRAINING TIPS

Always choose the same place to place PetZolla so that you don't confuse your puppy and get him used to always "fouling" in the same spot. Let your puppy explore PetZolla without forcing it. Never put toys or kibble on PetZolla, otherwise your puppy may confuse it as a place to have fun, especially in your absence. Be patient with your puppy, as with sleepers or newspapers, it will take time for him to get used to using PetZolla. When you see your puppy using PetZolla in the right wayRECOMMEND that you compliment him,pet him or give him a treat so that he can understand that he is using it in the right way. It may happen, as with sleepers, that your puppy "misses the mark" the first few times, DON'T SGRY him, it will just take a little more training.

SUMMARY FOR TRAINING

• CONTROL your puppy when using PetZolla for the first few times. Many puppies may try to destroy the box or dig in the grass. In that case let him know that his behavior is not okay. REMEMBER TO COMPLIMENT your puppy when he uses PetZolla both verbally and with a treat, so that he can associate the two positive reinforcements when he uses PetZolla correctly.
• CREATE A ROUTINE, get your puppy on PetZolla as soon as he wakes up, before and after feedings, after playing with him, after a short nap or before bedtime. Puppies usually "soil" every 4 hours. If your puppy does not soil in the first 5 minutes while you are showing him PetZolla, remember to bring it back after about 15 minutes. When he finally uses it, compliment him immediately verbally or with a treat.
• CHECK the signals your puppy sends you. If your dog suddenly stops, starts circling around sniffing the ground or is about to get into position to do his business, try to stop him and bring him back to PetZolla as quickly as possible. USE THE LEASH. To make PetZolla associate with a garden bed, bring your puppy onto PetZolla with a leash. When your puppy "gets dirty," compliment him verbally or with a treat.
• REMEMBER that PetZolla should ABSOLUTELY not be used as a substitute for walks.
• ATTRACT IT WITH ODORS if your puppy is having trouble using PetZolla, take a piece of Paper towel that you have used to clean up urine made around by your puppy or with an already used sleeper and run it over the PetZolla grass so that it will attract him there next time. Or put one of the sleepers, already soiled with your puppy's urine, inside the PetZolla box but under the sod of grass. This will attract your puppy to the sod of grass and to mark it as his territory.
• PASSING BY TRAVERS puppies using sleepers may take longer to get used to PetZolla. Place PetZolla near the sleepers so that your puppy can get used to it. Once they start using PetZolla, remove the sleepers. Remember to be patient. The habits of your faithful companions are hard to change.
• PETZOLLA is not for all dogs. Most dogs will use PetZolla without any problems, but there will always be a few dogs who cannot get used to using PetZolla.
